Greenfield and Sunnydale entered 4 teams (2 each) into the South West Durham Schools Netball tournament.   All teams played extremely well against some very tough opposition from Bishop Barrington, Parkside, St Johns, King James, Whitworth Park, Wolsingham and Teesdale.

Greenfield’s ‘A’  team were unbeaten throughout the tournament, eventually beating St Johns (Bishop Auckland) in the final by 6 goals to 1 to be crowned South West Durham U12 Netball Champions.

Greenfield’s ‘B’ team also performed extremely well,  beating King James and Teesdale’s ‘A’ teams, but eventually losing  to Wolsingham by 2 goals in their final match, to narrowly miss out on a place in the semi-final. Sunnydale also reached the semi-final after beating Bishop Barrington and Parkside, but lost in the semi-final to Greenfield.  Well done to Greenfield year 7 on their continued success, and for retaining this title for a second consecutive year.
