Today was our final game in the Spring cup. We had already won the League and Cup double and were hoping to avoid defeat to go though the whole football year unbeaten. That’s exactly what we did. Out of a total of 24 games since we started in September the girls have Won 21 and Drawn 3 and gave been absolute legends. Well done girls on your debut season with all you’ve achieved.
NAYFC U10 Wildcats 4 Hebburn Honeys 2
Final game of the League Cup for the girls today. The football on show from both sides had massively improved from the last time we met. Aycliffe opened the scoring within the first minute from a perfect pass and an outstanding bit of individual skill. First half saw chances at both ends. Just before half time Hebburn managed to pull level. Second half the girls were asked to carry on exactly how we had played first half because we looked dangerous every time we had the ball. The ball was a little more end to end but after some great saves, Aycliffe were looking like adding to their lead. We managed to score 3 more fantastic goals of real quality and finished the game on a high. After winning Division 1, we were moved into the Premier Division for the League Cup and the girls have had some really tough games. This has brought out some awesome performances from the team. The girls had 5 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats with a 3rd place finish in the Cup.
Hebburn Town Gold B 3 NAYFC U10’s 15
Team was Kian, Trystan, Nathan, Kai, Adam, Jayden, Will, Kaiden and Hamza. We thought this match would be a challenge, as Hebburn are above us in the league and we have been struggling to win matches this season – but what a performance today from the boys! A massive win and well deserved. Everyone on that pitch gave 100%. We really proved how well we can play when we work as a team and we are so proud of all the players today.
Tibs Yellow 1 NAYFC U12 Falcons 4
The final game of the season was an outstanding team performance and the win deservedly made the Falcons League Champions. It’s been a great season and the players have come on a lot while also maturing over the season. Well done to the whole team, we are all proud of you. MOTM to our outstanding goalkeeper Ryan Johnson. What a performance in goal. Ryan was strong all match and pulled off several top saves to frustrate Tibs while also showing great leadership skills to help his team mates within the game (photo above), well done.
