Newton Aycliffe Youth FC were invited to the Durham FA Annual Dinner at Ramside Hall, Durham, where they were presented with a special award to recognise the work they have been doing to improve Parental Behaviour on the sidelines on match days.
Durham FA have designed and pioneered a workshop specifically for parents to educate them on the acceptable standards of behaviour that is expected. NAYFC have been at the forefront of rolling this out to over 250 parents of their players.
When surveyed, there was an overwhelming support from all the parents, who agreed that this workshop provided invaluable information on acceptable behaviour on the sideline. The focus was all about positive encouragement and support for children to let them enjoy their football. The club is hugely proud to receive this award.
