Greenfield Arts invites you and the public to the preview of our latest exhibition by our Young Interpreters on Tuesday 18th July 5pm to 7pm. Greenfield Arts has been working with year 11 art students to better understand what it is students would like from the gallery and the opportunities it offers, whilst helping them achieve their Bronze Arts Award. Through this process the students have had the chance to experience art, take part in workshops, work with professional artists as well as lead and inspire other young people in being creative.
Based on the work developed through the Arts Award and as part of a wider initiative to engage young people in the gallery, we have also hosted free interactive workshops enabling year 7 to 9 students a place to voice their opinion about how they would like to use the gallery space. This has informed a second school exhibition curated by our Young Interpreters of Greenfield Community College, as part of their final Arts Award submission, which is open from Monday 17th July – Wednesday 26th July. The Young Interpreters hope this exhibition, and all that has preceded it, will inspire other students to take up art GCSE and continue to get involved in the programme, once they have left. Come along, let your voice be heard and even join in the activity! For more information on any of the information here, check out the website www.greenfield-arts.co.uk or speak with one of our lovely team members on 01325 379048 or info@greenfieldarts.co.uk. Gallery Opening Times: Monday – Thursday 10am – 9pm and Friday 10am – 4pm.
