On Friday 7th March, for International Women’s Day, the young women in our GCSE Film Studies class visited the Northern School for Art for a unique day of workshops and careers event, in partnership with The Young Women’s Film Academy (YWFA).
This special event was designed to inspire and empower females in secondary schools who are interested in careers within the film, TV and digital media industries.
Our students took part in hands-on film making and creative workshops led by industry professionals, a talk and tour of the fantastic industry standard facilities at the Northern School of Art, and an exclusive Industry Q&A Panel with successful women in the screen industries. The whole day was an incredible opportunity for our students to gain valuable industry insights, build creative skills and connect with professionals who are making an impact in the field.
