Junior members of the ACORN Residents’ Association held a raffle and presented the proceeds to the newly formed Great Aycliffe Community Aid Partnership which is bringing all the voluntary and statutory welfare groups in Aycliffe together to co-ordinate help for needy families. The chairman Pauline Chambers is shown here receiving the cheque from the young people who commented on their kind gesture and regard for people less fortunate, assuring them the cash would be put to good use.
