Earlier in December the class of 2013 were invited back to Woodham to receive their exam certificates and celebrate their success in GCSE exams.
Many students took the opportunity to celebrate thanking teachers and collecting outstanding Art and Technology projects they had completed.
The students reminisced about their time at Woodham over pizza, recalling their favourite moments of the past five years. The students who have now left have gone on to study further at establishments all over the north east of England.
Ryan Metcalfe who was one of the students to achieve more than 12 GCSEs at grades A and A* said. “We have all missed Woodham since we left in the summer. Looking back at the five years I made the most fantastic friends and met some truly amazing and inspirational teachers”. Ryan is now studying A Levels in Economics, Computing, Maths and Physics at Queen Elizabeth 6th Form college, Darlington. Another student also now studying at Queen Elizabeth, William Kirton, who also achieved all grade A and A* describes his time here as, “Truly amazing, I couldn’t have wished for a better five years”.
We thank everyone for joining us at our celebrations and would like to wish everyone great success in their chosen subjects and life beyond Woodham Academy. We would be delighted to keep in touch with all students to see how they get on in the future.
