SENIOR CITIZENS INVITED TO “EAT TOGETHER”
Traditional Christmas Lunch and Festive Fun at Newton Aycliffe Youth and Community Centre Older people in Newton Aycliffe are being invited to come along to enjoy some festive cheer and a delicious two course traditional Christmas lunch at Newton Aycliffe Youth and Community Centre. At an affordable price of £5.00 the meal will be freshly prepared and after lunch they’ll be some festive fun with a Christmas Quiz and Bingo. Louise Haymer the project Development Worker said, “Come Eat Together is all about good food in good company. This lunch club enables people who live alone or are carers to enjoy dining out with others in pleasant surroundings. As well as Christmas lunch we will be continuing our monthly lunch club throughout January 2017.
The Christmas Lunch will be held at 12.00pm on Monday 12th December 2016 and the lunch will then continue regularly on the third Monday of every month thereafter. Aycliffe Shoppers will also be running fortnightly on a Friday, throughout the festive period. Your chance to take advantage of a door to door service, a wider variety of shops, help with heavy bags as well as plenty of time to stop off for a cuppa and a chat for only £4.00.
