Despite the snowy weather, last week we had an evening of Christmas themed fun at Greenfield Community & Arts Centre. Over 20 stall holders showed us their fantastic creations, we saw demonstrations on wreath making, chocolate flake making and fabric origami and listened to some fantastic music from our talented young musicians. This was a great opportunity for students from different schools in Newton Aycliffe to come together to perform and demonstrate their talent.
We also showcased the work of the fantastic GAMP AAP funded project at the event – Smart Crafts. Students from Greenfield and Woodham showed members of the community the work they had created over the past 3 months using smart materials and new techniques.
We would like to thank all the stall holders, musicians, demonstrators, parents and members of the public who helped make this event such a success!
