Sugar Hill Primary school recently participated in the annual World Maths Day. Theme of the day was ‘time’, so teachers and children came into school dressed up as literary characters with links to the word or the concept of time. There were several rabbits from Alice In Wonderland (who were not late for their very important date!) and the Big Bad Wolf was also popular.
Doc Brown from the Back to the Future films also made a couple of appearances. Children and staff took part in time-related activities throughout the day and found many different fun ways to enjoy maths and how time is important in everyday life. All agreed that it had been a great day and definitely time well spent!
