World Cup Hat Trick hero Sir Geoff Hurst visited the Alun Armstrong Soccer Cetnre in Shildon last week. In addition to officially opening the facility Sir Geoff handed out medals, and autographed shirts, ribbons and other football items. He chatted with the children and his visit attracted a large crowd of admirers
The Centre on George Reynolds Industrial Estate is a popular venue for five-a-side footabll teams who play for an hour for only £2.50p. Alun runs a Soccer School in association with Middlesbrough FC and offers Football Birthday Parties including food and presents.
