A group of seven Woodham Ambassadors and two members of staff were invited to a National Anti-Bullying event held at the DW football stadium in Wigan. Schools from all over the country were there to creatively explore and understand the issue of bullying through interactive sessions. They networked with other passionate young people, exchange ideas and share good practice. Woodham Academy Ambassadors took part in some exciting workshops, developing their skills through dance, poetry, music and art. They gained practical ideas and received top tips on how to prevent bullying and so ensuring that everyone feels safe and happy in school. Woodham Academy Ambassadors have been working really hard this term to develop and implement ideas in school to raise awareness of the effects of bullying. This was a fantastic opportunity for them to meet other young ambassadors of all ages and abilities who all want to make a difference.
