Woodham Academy dance students are already preparing for their first Dance Showcase to be held on 14th May next year. This will offer students an opportunity to showcase a product of all their hard work throughout the year.
The showcase will feature pieces from the Dance Academy, Dance Club, GSCE Dance students and work from Dance lessons.
Since the launch of Woodham Dance Academy in 2012, more and more students have become involved in dance. A successful bid to Children in Need in July has allowed the Dance Academy to expand. Woodham Dance Academy, in partnership with The Joanne Banks Dancers, now holds after school sessions for elite dancers as well as open lunchtime sessions for any student keen to take part in dance. All activities are free.
Also new this year is the Dance Studio, which now provides a first class facility for the teaching of dance.
