Woodham Academy student Nathan Bain has recently been rewarded for his hard work and effort in Engineering. Year 10 student Nathan has been named “Student of the Year in Engineering” by South West Durham Training Ltd for his continued efforts in his work towards his GCSE qualification. He has won the award ahead of all students who study Engineering at South West Durham for his keen eye for detail and his resilience towards every task that he works upon. Deputy Headteacher Jonathan Lumb says “Working with South West Durham Training Ltd is an important part of our curriculum. At Woodham Academy we recognise the importance of engineering in Newton Aycliffe and it is very pleasing to see Nathan named as best overall school pupil for engineering.”
