Timothy Hackworth Primary School in Shildon has achieved the Wellbeing Award.
The assessor who visited the school was incredibly impressed by the commitment of the school, and the work that is evident across the school and the local community, to support the emotional health and wellbeing of the children, staff, parents and carers.
The school’s very positive work with the local community was also recognised.
The Wellbeing Award assessor, Mr. Colin Noble, stated, “This is an outstanding endorsement of the culture and ethos of a school protecting and promoting emotional wellbeing and mental health.”
Head Teacher, Mrs. Lynn Boulton, and the school’s Wellbeing Lead, Mrs. Clare Shepherd and Senior Mental Health Lead, Mrs. Kim Kozlowski, explained, “We are extremely proud to achieve The Wellbeing Award for Schools. The award reflects our school’s commitment to supporting our children, staff and parents and carers with effective emotional support.”
Mrs. Boulton would also like to thank Marnie and the Place 2 Be Counselling Team for their support who provide an excellent counselling service for the children, staff and parents of Timothy Hackworth Primary School.
