This week I was very impressed by the presence of Woodham Academy staff, who were patrolling the nearby streets at the end of the school day, particularly outside McColls shop.
I regularly walk this way to collect my child from St. Mary’s school, and unfortunately the older students can be a little intimidating for my son when they are being so loud, and the language has been so bad at times, which I do wish my child didn’t have to hear.
But this week has been so different, the Woodham students just seem so much calmer, maybe because of the staff watching them, I just hope this is going to be a regular event, as I am sure people living in this area would appreciate it also.
