Lovers of books and reading are invited to take part in the free, friendly and informal Weardale WordFest – a community book festival set in Weardale in October. Enjoy meeting regional authors, experience the joys of reading and explore the world of writing for yourself.
Write for pleasure and wellbeing and join one of the festival’s inspirational workshops in locations throughout Weardale, beginning on Saturday 8th October at Ireshopeburn with David Napthine. Why not get back in touch with your core self and write for Wellbeing with Judith Marshall at Frosterley on Wednesday, 12th October? St. John’s Chapel plays host to Sarah Dodds on Friday, 14th October. Mary-Jane Holmes encourages us to Walk the Write Path at Low Barnes Nature Reserve. Finally, Writing the Garden, at Wolsingham on Monday 17th October with Avril Joy and Chris Powell.
There is no charge to take part in any of the workshops but places are limited so pre-booking is essential.
