Owners Chris and Rachel Swain are delighted to announce their award of ‘Small Hotel of the Year’ at the Best Western annual awards ceremony in Brighton’s Grand Hotel on 30th January 2018.
Walworth Castle Hotel has consistently achieved all its targets in customer care and achieved high marks in the annual inspection. During the inspection, Best Western assess Guest Rooms and Public Areas, Brand Standards and Brand Identity. They are also targeted in signing up rewards members, and Walworth are now 3000% above target.
All Best Western Hotels are privately owned and operated. Chris and Rachel bought the Hotel in July 2000 and have worked tirelessly to improve the castle and are so proud in what they have achieved. Being awarded hotel of the year is a testament to all the hard work the team have put into making Walworth Castle a success. “Without their hard work, dedication and commitment we couldn’t have achieved this fantastic accolade” said Rachel.
Over the past 12 months, we have refurbished bedrooms and bathrooms, and installed our beautiful outdoor ceremony garden, Lady Palmers Pavilion. This has proved very popular with our bride and grooms as it now gives them the option of having their civil ceremony in the open.
Walworth have launched a new menu in the Farmers Restaurant which serves locally sourced, seasonal produce. The team ensure all customers leave with great memories of their experience at Walworth Castle Hotel which also has a certificate of excellence from Tripadvisor and 5 stars for food hygiene, so being awarded hotel of the year is the icing on the cake.
