“Walk For Mental Health Teesside To Benidorm” Is the vision of Tom Judge. During his working life Tom was a very successful businessman until he had a breakdown and was diagnosed with PTSD. Tom Judge and Darren Robinson will walk from The Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough to Benidorm in 2021.
Tom and Darren will pass through some cities and towns in the UK and would love you to come along to encourage and support them, or maybe join them for a chat for 5 minutes, one hour, the choice is yours.
The aim is to raise awareness of Mental Health, especially among veterans and they will be producing daily video blogs starting with their preparation and training.
“We are not asking for money, we want people to know that it’s OK not to be OK. However, if anybody would like to make a donation we will be nominating a specific charity in due course” said Tom.
There are lots of plans going on in the build up, as you can imagine. We are contacting nationwide hotel chains and are hoping to have a number of physiotherapists and counsellors along the way to take care of mental and physical health.
This is a vital part of the journey and unfortunately we cannot pay for their services so we are hoping to have volunteers from various towns or cities along the way.
We already have two fantastic UK companies that are providing suitable clothing and footwear, but we also require food, water, accommodation, physiotherapists and counsellors.
