Dear Sir,
In Newton News on 13th September, I said that by Christmas we will have a clear majority Conservative Government, ruling from the centre, not left or right. Pumping money into the economy and Jeremy Corbyn will be gone and life will get better. Well we have a General Election on December 12th. The universe is indeed unfolding as it was intended. Labour will lose massively, I predicted at least 44 seats, but now think they will lose even more, because Labour have shown it is anti Brexit. They will lose Darlington and Bishop Auckland easily to the Conservatives. But in Sedgefield the only way for Labour to lose is if people vote tactically. If everyone in the Sedgefield Constituency who voted for Brexit votes Conservative Phil Wilson will lose his seat. I have never ever voted Tory before, but I did vote for Brexit. In Sedgefield approx. 61% voted Leave. If the Brexit vote splits, Labour will get in here.
I am prepared to hold my nose and vote Conservative on Thursday 12th December in order to remove an MP who persistently opposed Brexit, in order to replace him with an MP who will support Brexit. Phil Wilson was one of 100 Labour MPs who did not vote for this general election. Labour will win less than 200 seats and the Conservatives will win a clear overall majority. Boris Johnson, a centrist, in my opinion, is far more preferable to Jeremy Corbyn as Prime Minister. To get a Brexit supporting MP you must vote tactically for a Conservative. We want Brexit.
