Durham County Council held a Cabinet Meeting on the Wednesday 7th July, the new council leadership have passed a motion to continue increasing Council Tax by 1.99% per year for the next four years, with a 2% rise for the Social Care Precept.
DCC also forsee having to cut at least £45.2m from its budget due to a lack of government funding.
I would like to ask why the Councillors who were elected recently, with their main issue being council tax, have not voted in line with their election promises?
