Great Aycliffe Town Council has recently received a number of anonymous written complaints regarding residents and visitors parking on grass verges on housing estates in Newton Aycliffe.
Unfortunately, the Town Council has no statutory power to enforce parking or highway regulations and is unable to take any action in these instances.
The complaints have been forwarded to Durham County Council as the authority responsible for dealing with parking issues and it is requested that any further complaints are also addressed to the County Council.
