Vane Road’s Key Stage 2 Cross Country team were in action last week as they took part in a competition against 10 other schools at Ferryhill Business and Enterprise College. Remarkably, the Girls and Boys Year 3/4 teams both finished in 1st place, as did Year 5/6 girls and boys teams!
All children deserve a huge amount of credit for achieving their team gold medals, however there were some exceptional individual performances from Sam B, Hannah B, and Jackson R, who finished 1st place in their respective races. There were also fantastic performances from Olivia B, Clayton F, Ava A and Bethany B. These teams will now go on to represent the Sedgefield area in the county finals in March.
