A coffee morning in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support was held at Vane Road Primary School on Friday 26th September. The event was well supported by pupils, parents, carers and The Friends of Vane Road School.
The staff was overwhelmed by the generosity shown with donations of hundreds of home-baked cakes and biscuits. Each child enjoyed a choice of a drink and a cake for a small contribution to this worthy cause.
The grand sum of £448.25 was raised on the morning alone with this figure rising further by the sale of cakes during the afternoon.  Many thanks to all concerned.
