Butterwick hospice is asking local people to make donations of unwanted and inherited War medals, Badges, Bank Notes, Uniforms, Postcards, Pocket watches, Gold & Silver Jewellery & scrap gold items.
The hospice hopes to collect as many items as possible to be sold to raise much needed funds to help keep your local hospice open
On Saturday June 18th they are holding a Grand coin & medal valuation day when a team of experts from the Medal Centre in Hexham will be available to offer no obligation valuations on all these types of associated items. No obligation to sell and people may simply wish to have a better idea of what they own and the history behind it.
Andrew Jukes is one of the country’s leading experts and any member of his team will be happy to make an immediate cash offer for items people wish to sell. The company will also make a cash donation to the hospice for items bought.
Members of the public who would like to honour a loved one’s memory by donating inherited items can pop along to the hospice on the day or prior to the event. The hospice understands that it can often be a difficult decision to part with hard earned family medals or associated items, simply because they feel a little bit of guilt about parting with such items.
Anyone can turn up on the day for a verbal valuation and they are under no obligation to sell or donate anything. This is a win – win situation for the hospice and they hope to raise as much money as possible.
Please contact Butterwick Hospice on Woodhouse Lane, Bishop Auckland direct to make a donation prior to the event or simply turn up on the day for a valuation and take the option of walking away with a cash sum.
The Hospice is open Monday – Friday 9. 30am until 4. 30pm to accept donations – Tel: 01388 603003 (Sat Nav ref DL14 6JU)
