I have lived in Newton Aycliffe for 40 years and served as a Town Councillor for 15 years.
I have served on all the committees and gained extensive knowledge and experience in the running of the Council. As Mayor and Chair of the Council 2012-2013, I have attended functions and events all over the county, representing Great Aycliffe.
Through a very busy year, I have overseen our Council’s success in achieving good budget and audit results. We have financial security at the moment, but savage government cutbacks will inevitably affect our Town Council’s budget in the future.
I love our town, our parks, lovely green areas, good early learning centres, pensioners’ trips, fun-in-the-parks etc. These things keep our community together.
Once elected, I will continue to work hard and try my best to safeguard our services and commitments to you.
