Unfair Criticism of Tesco Horndale Community Association would like to apologize to Tesco, Newton Aycliffe, for the criticism they received recently by some well meaning people.
Tesco were unable to provide staff and the equipment to sell hot dogs, ice creams and pop corn at our fun day. They had offered the food for us to operate the stall ourselves, I had to refuse this offer as we didn’t have the volunteers with the correct qualifications to serve the food.
Tesco had already donated a trolley full of toys for the tombola stall and cakes, pop, sweets and crisps for the day.
Tesco regularly support us and other groups across our local area with gift cards and items from the shelves for which we thank them and are very grateful.
