There’s just two races to report on this time. In the ever popular Triology Mid-Week Super Sprint Triathlon, (this being the second of three) held on the 26th of July, we had four of our members racing for club honours. Andrew Sedgwick was first home in a time of 41:43, 5th male and a fantastic 1st in his age category. Less than a minute behind him Dan Halladay finished in 42:18, 9th male and 3rd in his age category. Ian Readman was next to finish, crossing the line in 46:26, 27th male and 10th in his age group, and our only female to enter the race Nicola Darragh finished in 51:07, 13th female and 4th in her age category.
In Stanhope on the 6th of August, the Weardale Sprint Triathlon was held, the swim discipline happening in an open-air pool; its unique to the triathlon calendar. Again, Andrew Sedgwick finished first for the club in a time of 1:06:05, 5th overall. In 7th place overall was Dan Halladay, finishing in a time of 1:08:14. Austin Donoghue, out third club competitor finished in a time of 1:27:44, 40th overall.
