Abbie Johnson, a hard-working year 9 student, has shown true sporting excellence in Trampolining.
Abbie, who is committed to the Dance Academy and Gymnastics Academy at Woodham Academy, also spends her evenings and weekends at Trampoline practice.
Over the past couple of years, Abbie has shown vast improvements as a result of her great attitude and desire to succeed.
Abbie represented Woodham Academy at the Regional School’s Trampoline Competition on Sunday 1st December. She was Woodham’s solo entry and competed in the intermediate category where the routines are complex, and the skills are difficult.
There were 33 other competitors in her category and after an outstanding performance she placed first!
Abbie has now qualified for the zonal round in January where she will compete against the winners from the different regions. Not only has Abbie represented the school, she also competes as part of a team.
At the Northern Championships, Abbie and her team placed first overall and has also recently qualified for the NDP regional team finals which will be held in Penrith in March 2020.
What a fantastic start to year 9 and we look forward to all your future successes.
Well done!
