James Robinson of Bewick Crescent, is a retired photographer with membership of the Royal Photographic Society, and The National Portrait Gallery. The latter recently accepted one of his photo portraits for their permanent collection. The subject is the author, historian and television presenter Dr Lucy Worsley, the Chief Curator of the UK,s Historic Royal Palaces.
The photo was taken in the Green Room of Durham Town Hall, whilst Dr Worsley was visiting Durham as a guest speaker at the city’s annual book festival.
Another photo of Dr Worsley, which James took is to be found on the cover of his forthcoming book: “Photoworks – A Multiverse of Images”, which is due to be released this month.
