The Town Council are determined to tackle the problem of the road going nowhere at the rear of Argos in the Town Centre. Newton News raised the issue a few weeks ago and it has now become serious as residents complain of the chaos this unofficial car park and unadopted road is causing.
Motorists are also using this one way road as a dangerous short cut and the Council are deeply concerned. The Town Clerk and Counc Crosby have conducted legal research which indicates the County Council must adopt this road before any changes to its use can be regulated. The Town Council resolves to consult the County Council on the matter to secure an urgent resolution to the issue.
