The Town Council has agreed to the sale of a plot of land at Travellers Green, formerly used as caravan storage to homes and communities business, livin.
The land will add to land already under the ownership of livin and will enable a project to be put forward for the development of older persons’ accommodation in the form of bungalows or apartments subject to its Board’s approval.
The access to the Great Aycliffe Way and Nature Park will be maintained during and following the completion of the proposed development.
The Council is delighted to be able to assist livin in the development of a proposal to provide much needed accommodation for older persons in the town.
