On Friday 20th October, Churches Together in Great Aycliffe, hosted a Quiz Night and Pie & Pea Supper in the Golf Club to raise funds for local charities.
They would like to thank the Golf Club for the use of such a lovely venue and for providing the food. Thanks must also go to all those who supported this event from the various churches in the town.
We raised £400 on the night and the committee of CTGA decided to share the money between NAYCC, Aycliffe Food Bank and the Women’s Refuge, all worthy causes and all in need of our help.
Thanks to our very entertaining Quiz Masters, Andrew Matthews and David Prior, from St. Mary’s Church, who gave up their time so freely and willingly on a Friday night. The quiz was won by the ‘Magnificent Seven’ (a group of ladies from the Zumba Class at the Methodist Church). A great night was had by all.
