Town Centre Manager Bryan Haldane is delighted the new Greggs Store is opened and has become such a great success. The new modern look with its well-designed interior complements Coffee Pronto providing town centre visitors with two balanced food outlets.
Bryan is also pleased to welcome Poundworld, opening in November and sees it as a great addition to the centre in time for Christmas shopping.
Bryan told Newton News there would be further delay in demolishing Churchill House to ensure the clock tower will stand securely afterwards. It could be next spring before we see the start of work in this area including the transfer of the Library and refurbishment of the Leisure Centre.
He assured us that despite recent reports six CCTV cameras   are deployed in the town centre and will be extended to offer full 24 hour coverage.
