On Wednesday the 19th June 2013 the young people from Newton Aycliffe Youth Centre Skate Park Project held their final skate park event. This is the third sucsessful event the young people have organised and they were not disappointed.
22 young people on Micro Scooters and BMX participated in the competition with another 14 young people watching along with the gathering crowd of spectators including parents and memebers of the public.
The young people thank GAMP who funded the project, the Town Park Wardens for maintaining the skate park and the One Point Youth Workers Franceene Birbeck and Laura Langdale for their on going support and encouragement.
There is now a steering group formed from the project and they will continue to meet and work on plans for the proposed visit to ScooterFest in August 2013!

There has been some amazing experiences and the young people have been keen to progress on to bigger and better things everytime. GAMP have been a great support through out the project and it was great for the project to end on such a high”
