Dear Sir
I feel I have to write to you, regarding our new look Town Centre. Could you tell me how wheelchair users get safely to Phil Wilson’s Office and the shops at Upper Beveridge Way?
Why has only 3/4 of the town been improved, and three of the main walking routes from the car parks into the town centre still a mess – especially outside the computer shop, the chemist and entrance into the Thames Centre?
Aren’t these part of our town? To me this is what you see when you first come into the town, and it’s a big turn off.

I am pleased to confirm that there is indeed full access for wheelchair and other users to Beveridge Walkway during the hours of 7.00am to 6.00pm via either the lift lobby access from Beveridge Way leading to the top deck MS car park, the pedestrian ramp in the MS car park or directly from the car park top deck itself.
After 6.00pm full access is still available from the top deck of the car park and can be accessed via the ramp from the middle level or by parking at the top deck area and accessing from there.
As regards your query relating to completion of works from Churchill House this is part of the next phase of works which will be commencing early next year as per our previously published plans.’
