The Hub of Wishes (formerly MIND) is an independently run mental health charity based in Western Area Community Centre, Silverdale Place.
We have recently begun art therapy sessions on a Monday afternoons from 1-3pm with a small charge of £1.50. We had a guest speaker this Monday, Stephen Bainbridge, a local artist for 40 years, and we would like to thank him for giving us his time and professional tips on art.
We offer many activities Monday – Thursday including: Lunch Club, Bingo, Walking Group, Gardening group, Healthy eating and weight management, alternative therapies, bus trips and smoking cessation.
Starting on the 7th March we are launching a basic computer course – teaching internet access, emails and basic computer skills.
