Recently the Little Acorns the junior section of Acorn Residents Association held their highly successful Petting Zoo event for the fifth year running, featuring two mobile Zoos. Also, there to entertain the children of our town was Professor Nincompoop who was kept busy all day making balloon models.
Face painting as always was also highly in demand with a queue which never seemed to diminish. Nail painting was a real treat for some young people but this year Ken chickened out! Spotty Dog and Syd the Squirrel joined in the fun with frequent walkabouts around the town centre offering photo opportunities for children and families.
The event was as usual a brilliant fun day for the whole town and I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank all of those volunteers who gave their time and skills to help. Ken Robson, Acorn Residents Association
