Local Recruitment firm Whurk Recruitment experience further growth and as a result have appointed 3 local Aycliffe staff to join their team.
Formed in April 2013 Whurk Recruitment’s Managing Director Laura Claughan has ambitious plans for the company, “We didn’t expect so much growth so soon. We have had a great deal of interest from local companies requiring our services” comments Claughan.
Whurk Recruitment helps companies secure talented individuals to help their businesses grow, in return this means finding work for local people in the Newton Aycliffe and surrounding areas.
Jamie Hare, Whurk’s latest appointment said “I was looking to find a job close to home and approached Whurk as a recruitment agency to help me. I was delighted when they considered me for an internal role. It’s a very exciting company to work for and I feel part of a like-minded team”
Last month Whurk signed a 2 year deal with a large plastic packaging company and have since gone on to form partnerships with some of the region’s most progressive organisations.
Claire Foster from Aycliffe joined Whurk in September, and comments: “I have been given a chance to launch the driving division at Whurk and can honestly say I love my job. Working close to home has many benefits, knowing the area allows me to support local people find jobs”
The team of seven are now working hard to fulfil their growth strategy and are committed to keeping it local. “We will always have a base in Newton Aycliffe, we like the area, it’s a good place to do business” says Laura Claughan.
Whurk Recruitment have promising months ahead and its predicted the company will create a further three jobs early 2014 taking the team to ten.
