This year’s winner of the 2015 Small Business Awards have recently introduced a third generation into the business, which was established in 1997. The two founder members of Workshop Supplies Tony Harrap and son Darren, have been joined by Darren’s son Lewis.
Lewis has joined the business following in the footsteps of Darren to learn about tools and engineering products to keep the family business moving forward.
Lewis was educated at Woodham Acadamy and has recently spent 18 months at telephone network EE on customer service & sales. He joins Workshop Supplies at the age of 19, the same age as his father did when Tony Harrop ran Motalink on Aycliffe Industrial Estate. He joins Mark, Phil, Elaine and Jaki which make up the family business.
The latest report from Workshop Supplies shows Darren is making good progress and everyone wishes him a successful future in his new career. He joins a sales team that collectively have over 150 years sales experience. Workshop Supplies can be found on St. Cuthbert’s Way next to the Post Office.
