Dear Sir,
I’m sure I’m not alone with the recent fiasco regarding bin collections and the Health and Safety clipboard holders turning tough binmen into wimps overnight (without their knowledge).
I have a family of 4 which includes my wife and 2 daughters and can easily fill a wheelie bin in a week. Weekly collections were ideal, but now we are faced with bins overflowing and overweight as some binmen have advised, yet its the council’s fault for changing from weekly to fortnightly.
Their solution is to purchase another wheelie bin which will cost a sizeable sum and they will also add a yearly charge. Absolutely stupid as there was nothing wrong with how things were and with lots of councils reverting back to weekly, I do hope ours does the same.
On a similar vein, the recycling team the council use are a disgrace. So many times they drop things out of recycling bins, boxes etc and can’t be bothered or are too lazy to pick them up. Littering laws apply to you lot too so if you drop it, you should pick it up.
