Dear Sir,
I have lived in Bousfield Crescent for five years and I am disappointed at the state of the area in front of the houses. It is a large paved/tarmac area that has to be sprayed with weed killer in the summer and also has uneven and loose gravel making it a trip hazard. I call it the wasteland.
To make matters worse, I arranged a bulky items collection from the County Council (the items were not actually very big or heavy, I just could not fit them in my boot) and, for some bizarre reason, the driver decided to reverse their massive truck right up to my gate, taking advantage that the car park barrier was broken on one side and, in doing this, they have completely destroyed what was already a ghastly area.
It now resembles trenches and a lot of the paving had been smashed in the process, lots of children, including my own, often play in this area and I am worried someone is going to sustain an injury.
I have lodged a complaint to the council and am awaiting a response. The residents have expressed that they wish to have a green placed in this area, to match the rest of Aycliffe’s green spaces, but nothing has been done and now the area is completely unsafe.
I hope this matter can be resolved.
