Dear Sir,
I am writing to inform you that the Stroke Association’s Peer Support Service has organised a Peer Support Group, 1.00pm to 3.00pm, Wednesday 5th June at the Pioneering Care Partnership. This will run once a fortnight.
The service offers support in a group setting, friendship networks, support to access training or to return to work, recreational activities, access to volunteering opportunities, support for carers, and information about resources and opportunities to meet others in a similar situation. Speakers from different organisations are invited, depending on what people in the group are interested in or keen to hear about.
The sessions enable stroke survivors and their carers to meet with other people, share thoughts, regain confidence, re-learn skills, and support each other. I would like to offer anyone who thinks this would benefit them the opportunity to join us.
