Love thy Cupcake would like to bring some Community spirit to the town, by inviting  The Deaf and Hearing Community to join together at The Silent Tea House where everyone can enjoy Tea / Coffee and Homemade Cakes, Cupcakes, Scones and many more delights.
Margaret Bain who is known for her Deaf Community work over a number of years, Teaching British Sign Language to main stream schools and bringing Deaf Awareness in the Durham area. Both Margaret and Saffron would like for the Deaf Community to feel that they can communicate in their preferred language, and enjoy the atmosphere of the room.
The Hearing Community can also enjoy the atmosphere and if they are learning British Sign Language, they can practice or just gain some Deaf Awareness. You may order your refreshments by either Sign Language or by talking.
The Silent Tea House grand opening is on Tuesday 22nd December at 10am.
