Firstly, can I thank everyone who came to visit me last week at the PCP Centre, Trevor for his lovely card and donation, Jackie and John for their donation and everyone who purchased our lovely hand-made items, also donations given too. Jackie who kept me company for the afternoon, Elaine for a beautiful baby girl gift set which will be in our raffle. It was wonderful to be there.
If it wasn’t for Valerie, June and Denise I wouldn’t be able to remain open, they are working constantly to help me bring the necessary funds in to stay open. As it stands a bottle of antibiotic is £60 which proves to be quite effective curing these lovelies, also food comes at a price too. I always use Royal Canin, I have a record number of babies and juveniles in at the moment all will have to be overwintered, 18 at the moment. They would not survive the harsh weather conditions.
A special thanks to everyone who has brought me baby hedgehogs, Lorraine and her sister brought me Bobby, and also a new admission, Becky, found out alone on a road far too small to be out alone.
Can I ask everyone to think of our wildlife on firework night, please check before you light any bonfires, a hedgehog will think it’s been built for them, home sweet home totally unaware of what it is really there for.
Tip of the Week: If you see a hedgehog out during the day whatever size, please ring The British Hedgehog Society on 01584 890801.
