PLEASE PUT A BOWL OF WATER OUT
You will save a precious life if you do.

Every hedgehog rehabber at the moment is seriously up against these hostile weather conditions, so what I would like us to do is imagine you are a hedgehog in these temperatures, hoglets are in trouble being abandoned by mums because they may not be able to keep up with their mums and other siblings. If they are lucky rescues get them in and, at the moment, every Rescue is full of babies. Think of it this way, imagine you have about 7000 spines on your back and lots of fur on your torso and face, you can’t feed because the ground is too dry and there is no water either. This is what these prickly pals put up with on a day-to-day basis, the hoglets are too small to defend themselves against flies and other predators. I am always very mindful of their plight which is why I do this, because I love them and they don’t deserve any of this.
So, I want to thank a lovely family who have brought me baby hedgehogs before, Ally, Riley and Ava, brought a poor baby hog 112 grams which is tiny, is very poorly because of the heat. I am working hard to keep all my hedgehogs cool and it isn’t easy, my most vulnerable are in the incubator which is cooler than the rest of the house! Thank you again for the donations which made this possible.
Fundraising is very much a big part of running a rescue, so I will be attending the Pride Fest and offering a raffle. I have some lovely prizes including designer bags, etc.
