Thank you to everyone who took the time and trouble to visit the Scout Hall last Saturday afternoon, the support I was given has enabled me to continue to help these poor babies that seem to be coming in with all sorts of difficulties mostly treatable if admitted in time. Raffle tickets are still on sale but not for much longer, we have some lovely prizes, perfect for Christmas.
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Karen who booked this room for me, June, Joy, Marlene, her granddaughters Eloise and Isobel who did the tombola and the very crafty ladies, Susan for her animals, Hazel for little hedgehog badges and Carol for some lovely toys etc.
Many rehabbers are overwintering now, especially if they are too small to hibernate, Denise and I included, our work continues through the winter months, releasing hedgehogs back into the wild is not an option, the weather conditions are a death sentence for them. We still need to feed and keep them healthy till spring, hence all the fundraising.
The British Hedgehog Preservation Society are still available should anyone need their help, they can be contacted on 01584 890801, office hours or email: pricklyhaven@yahoo.com should you have any questions or need advice.
