Before I start Joan,Viv and I want to thank everyone who has helped us with this rescue with regard to donations of goods, cash and food. When I first started I was totally unaware that fundraising was a necessary part of it which, I admit I was totally unprepared for, you all have been amazing and we are overwhelmed by the number of people who share our love for these beautiful mammals. Firstly, Cynthia of Middridge who rang BHPS (01584 890801) asking for my phone number to see if I would collect some items from her to benefit our Hoggies. Our gratitude to Brian, Community Support Initiative, Karen, Valerie and Tara for being there for us all. I can always count on Tara for a safe release site.

On a more serious note, as rehabbers we see the awful suffering these little ones have to endure but the biggest threats are man made, the rest is nature at its worst, we admit little babies with parasite burdens, upset tummies and a host of other afflictions. I am glad we have a wonderful vet who works with me to pull them through the difficult times because they are a very necessary and welcome addition to our gardens and whoever has hedgehogs are extremely lucky. It’s up to us to care for them and help them thrive. Hope the information below is helpful, also the hedgehog street app is there for anyone who needs more information.

Thankyou
