Thank you Newton News for publishing our articles, it’s so important to get the message across about our prickly pals.
Can I also say thank you to Mary, Ron and John, Karen and June and John Berry for their donations.
These donations couldn’t have come at a better time because having 26 in here is very difficult and it has been my hardest winter yet, but they are here and they are going to remain here untill spring, we have some cold nights ahead too, maybe some snow.
If anyone could also make a donation it would be very much appreciated, my email address is below and also my Facebook Page has bank details on. I don’t like to ask, but needs must.
I am keeping a close eye on all hoggies here, because most of them came in as babies, mums pass on parasite burdens to their infants and, when they have been in rescue a while, these burdens can flare up again, this has happened to Rosie and Lucky.
Most will be hibernating, but some come out to eat periodically, please keep putting the food out, I check my hog house in the garden daily, put food and water out, but I haven’t had any visitors recently, it’s a lifeline for them, it really is.
All hoggies are doing okay, Molly, in last week’s edition, is ok, her mouth stopped bleeding last Saturday night, which is good, all the others are checked nightly, no problems at all.
