Another weekend of the same,
Yes, lockdown rules are still the game,
Of how life is for us all,
But we can still stand tall,
And keep cheerful as we look ahead,
The vaccine rolls out and we begin to shed,
Our feelings of fear and great worry,
As to and from home we quickly scurry,
Wearing our masks, disinfecting our hands,
No point in burying our heads in the sand.
But at last we’re filled with hope,
As the vaccine does now reach so many folk.
Let’s be patient while it does it work,
And soon we’ll be free to again network,
Meet our friends face to face,
Enjoy a meal, no track and trace.
Let’s turn our faces to the sun,
It won’t be long until we can again,
Live life with laughter, love and fun!
